An Evening With Rodney Stotts, “The Falconer”

Join moderator Chris Stacey for a conversation with Rodney Stotts, one of the few African American Master Falconers in the U.S. and in the world. Rodney, a former drug dealer in Washington, D.C., works with teens in D.C. through partnerships with the Metro Police Department and the district’s Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services. Young people learn to care for the raptors, to handle and feed them. Mr. Stotts is the subject of the film The Falconer and has written, along with Kate Pipkin, and autobiography titled Bird Brother. Watch the film, read the book, or just join us for an engaging evening about the healing power of nature. The evening is based on Q & A by the audience members with Rodney. There’s a high probability that some of Rodney’s avian friends will visit with us (virtually) as well!
