The Second Hole at Glencoe Golf Club
EVENT IS FILLED TO CAPACITY.
Mid-September is a great time to be outdoors as the weather begins to cool on the doorstep of fall. Enjoy the mild weather and nature’s greenery on Sunday, September 15th by joining your Columbia Alumni and friends for our 3rd annual Best-Ball Scramble at the Glencoe Golf Club, a charming and easily accessible course on the North Shore.
In a Best-Ball Scramble, each player in a 4-some hits their shot, the team selects the best of the 4 shots taken, then each player hits from that spot. This continues from the tee to the fairway, to the green until the ball is in the hole. The score recorded is for the team only. This format typically allows each person in the 4-some to contribute regardless of skill level. To allow for competition between teams, we’ll seek a reasonable balance of skills across the 4-some’s and have limits on the use of each player’s shots. Prizes will be given at the 19th hole for low team score, closest to a Par 3 pin, and longest putt. We look forward to seeing you there!
This event needs a minimum of two 4-somes (8 participants) and be limited to a maximum of four 4-somes (16 participants).
