A Walk in Lincoln Park

Join host Anne Moore, Club President, for a walk in Lincoln Park, Chicago’s largest green space. Anne will share the park’s history as a place for recreation, civic pride, and healing. We’ll begin at the Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo (2010) and end at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool (1936). In between we’ll consider the Ulysses S. Grant statue, the swans in Lincoln Park Zoo, the twinned reasons for the Lincoln Park Conservatory (1890) and nearby Theater On the Lake, built in 1920 as a lakefront sanitarium for the treatment of tuberculosis and other diseases. Afterwards, join Anne for an early evening dinner in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
