Chicago Collects: Jewelry in Perspective

Punch Bowl for The Cliff Dwellers Club, 1910, The Jarvie Shop

Join co-hosts Anne Moore and Chirs Stacey at the magnificent Driehaus Museum for “Chicago Collects: Jewelry in Perspective,” an exhibition of 200 pieces collected by Chicagoans, some never before displayed in public. Among the treasures: a 19th century jeweled monstrance, three tiaras, medals from French royalty, jewelry and renderings by René Lalique and Anne Howe Geyer. A highlight is the Cliff Dwellers Club’s punch bowl, crafted in silver by Chicago artisan Robert Jarvie. We will tour the museum, which is housed in the Nickerson family mansion, nicknamed “The Marble Palace”, and focus on the most striking objects in the exhibit.
