The Anne Frank Kaleidoscope

Join Dr. Gene Homel for his reflections about "The Anne Frank Kaleidoscope". Since the 1950s, Anne Frank and her famed diary have evolved into an icon of the Jewish Holocaust of World War Two, as well as a symbol of young womanhood thwarted.  But this evolution has obscured much about the actual person and her actual writings. We'll look first at her family, her life and the various versions of her diary, and then at global society's shape-shifting images through theatre and cinema, politics, sexuality, literature, and conflicting interpretations.
